STUDENTS seeking to add a new dimension to their learning experience, broaden horizons and increase overall adaptability upon graduation should head over to the INTI Education Group at the Star Education Fair 2011.
The fair will be held at the Penang International Sports Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
From a home-grown entity to being part of a global network with a footprint in 25 countries worldwide, INTI, which has six campuses across the country, is able to offer students unique benefits stemming from its synergy with Laureate International Universities.
According to Graham Doxey, Laureate Malaysia CEO and INTI deputy CEO, these include the Semester Abroad Programme, which allows students to study for a full semester at Laureate institutions paying local INTI fees.
He stressed that the initiative is unique to INTI, saying it is the only education provider in Malaysia with such a wide and diverse reach.
“The benefits of being part of the Laureate network are undeniable.
“Laureate has the world’s largest private education network and some of the leading names in the education sector within its network,” said Doxey.
These include hospitality schools such as Les Roches and Glion, online education provider Walden University and the Business and Information Technology School, to name a few.
Backed by international curricular and academic experience drawn from the network’s 55 accredited universities and 130 campuses, INTI students benefit from the best global practices and international exposure which set them apart from their peers.
Its American Degree Transfer Programme is one of the most established in Malaysia, with students having a choice of over 300 American and Canadian universities to choose from.
At the heart of INTI’s offerings are the three pillars of career-focused programmes, affordable international exposure and academic excellence.
“An INTI education emphasises the development of industry- relevant technical and soft skills that give students a competitive advantage in the job market,” said Doxey.
“The INTI edge is further enhanced by its E2E (Enrolment to Employ-ment) initiative, where INTI partners with leading multinational corporations, bringing industry into the classroom.
“Students keep in touch with the real world, are provided insights into exciting new careers, and gain confidence through real life experience,” he added.
These result in graduates that are not only equipped with locally and internationally recognised qualifications but also highly sought-after communication, leadership, and soft skills.
A range of programmes from pre-university preparation to post- graduate degrees and professional courses are offered at INTI.
These include Cambridge A-Level, New South Wales Higher School Certificate, TAFE Advanced Diploma of Accounting, B.Eng. (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering and MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
In Malaysia, apart from INTI Inter-national College Penang, there are also INTI campuses in Negri Sem-bilan, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak offering more than 100 course options.
Each campus is equipped with comprehensive learning facilities and up-to-date technology to support the learning process.
All classrooms and lecture halls have audio-visual, media and computer facilities, and Wifi hotspots give students the freedom to work anywhere.
Libraries hold a comprehensive collection and online digital resources promote in-depth research.

More than 25,000 people are expected to visit the fair, which will be open to the public from 11am to 7pm. Admission is free.
