Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia deploys 3Com 10 GB technology
By 3Com | Dec 18, 2009Created in 2000 as the premier instution of higher learning, the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia emphasizes extensive use of information technology in its teaching and research programs. Over the years expansion has required the University to revamp its network infrastructure to support the demands of a multimedia-intensive academic environment, with room to grow in the future. 3Com was signed up to help deploy a 10 Gigabit campus-wide network.
The new network will eventually have 10,000 nodes from the current 6,000 nodes with plans underway to offer 70% wireless coverage for each building.
